For me:
- Attended a writer's group and submitted a short piece of fiction for critique (scary the first time!)
- Attended dozens of book events and a conference. Met authors and started to network more about writing and books
- Made significant progress in my own writing projects
- Read 54 books and exceeded my Goodreads goal
- Went on a real vacation!
How about you? What are you proud of having completed or started last year?
Hmm, it took me a second to look back at the year and come up with something I'm proud of. 2011 wasn't a great year, but I started my blog, which is on the top of my list. Great question, and best wishes to you in 2012!
ReplyDelete2011 was all about recovering from spending 2010 backpacking in Asia. When I got back last December, I had $60 to my name, no car, no job, and no where to live.... Yet somehow, a year later, it's all worked out even better than I could have expected.
ReplyDelete2011 was all about starting over from scratch, and it'll be a reminder from here on out that it is possible.
Good way to refocus the sentiments of the season to looking back on what is known, and not forward to the unknown.
My blog, and my four stories. All of which are a hot mess right now (the stories, not the blog I hope!) but at least they have a beginning, a middle and an end :-)
ReplyDelete@Lauren, that's so interesting!
ReplyDeleteI started this blog last year too, and although it's gone in a different direction than I thought, I've made a lot of great connections.
